YOUNG CANADA WORKS

Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage (YCWBCH), a paid internship program administered to support all cultural occupations (including artists) by the Cultural Human Resources Council. The program is funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage as part of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy. The internships provide a meaningful work experience for college and university graduates.

CHRC is seeking applications from not-for-profit arts and culture organizations in Digital Media; Film and Broadcasting; Live Performing Arts; Music and Sound Recording; Visuals Arts and Crafts; Writing and Publishing; and Heritage.

YOUNG CANADA WORKS aims to promote skills development, knowledge of Canadian achievements in the cultural sector and cultural heritage, and to enhance the employability of internship participants. The duration of the full-time internships is from 16 to 52 weeks.
